Apparel, Handbag, Jewelry and Accessory Designers – Meet with a small group of fellow fashion and accessory designers who are launching their brand, (or have recently launched their line) just like you! Get direct feed back on your line from a seasoned fashion sales representative, Karri Ann Frerichs, and an award winning marketing professional, Leslie Lum, the co-founders of Fashion Market SF, a new organization focused on the growth of San Francisco’s fashion industry as a recognized fashion capital.
Bring 3-5 of your collection samples as well as your line sheets, look books and other marketing materials and meet with other designers in a showroom setting. We’ll have racks and tables to display your samples and plenty of comfortable seating. Each event is limited to just 10 fashion designers so that we can give direct feedback to each brand individually.
Event Agenda
- 6:00-6:30 – Enjoy wine and snacks and network with fellow fashion, jewelry and accessory designers.
- 6:30-7:00 – Karri Ann Frerichs, and Leslie Lum (click to read bios), co-founders of Fashion Market SF will speak about what buyers are looking for, how to become “market ready,” and how best to market and promote your brand through various networking tools.
- 7:00-9:00 – Each designer receives a 10-15 minute evaluation of their line. Are you priced competitively? Can your look book and line sheet be improved? What brands and stores should you position your line with? What are some innovative ways you can market your line?
Receive direct feedback on your line from experienced marketing and sales professionals and gain valuable market insight and information by listening and participating in each brand’s critique. You’ll leave with a new confidence that your line is “market ready” so that you can avoid expensive trial and error that takes most new brands 3-5 seasons to correct. You’ll also make some great new friends and network along the way!
There is free parking in the back of the building. The building closes to the public at 5pm so please call Karri Ann at 415-738-6298 to be let in. Easy access from Muni lines 19, 27, 47, and 22. Space is limited to just 10 designers per session and the registration fee is $40 per brand. Please email with your RSVP.
