“I first met Leslie while working for a friend of hers. We went event hopping in the city, and I was just amazed how she knew everyone, and everyone knew her. My business, Love Cakes San Francisco, at that time was just beginning, and when I had brought it up to her, she instantly gave me the direction I needed to go in. Soon after, we set up a meeting and she told me who I should talk to, helped me with everything for my marketing plans, and did an amazing job promoting me. Still to this day, Leslie is the reason for 80% of my sales, through her promotions, and from people I have met through her. November 2008 she had organized an event of her great gal pals and colleagues, and Love Cakes catered the dessert.

Because of her promoting and word of mouth, I had orders before the event even happened, and was asked to do another event for an elite spa downtown soon after. She is full of great ideas, and even though I am such a small business, she is always thinking of me and giving me information on the competition, or what other people are doing in the baking world. She even has stuff for me on deals for spa’s and trunk shows! If you know Leslie, she always has something for you! Like I said, being a small business, it’s almost impossible to find someone who is truly thinking of your best interest and to see you do well. I am so thankful that I’ve found Leslie, she has made my life and Love Cakes so enjoyable. Once you have connections with Leslie, you will be connected to everyone in the city.”

“In addition to the longterm client relationships Leslie has developed at the Chronicle, she is a natural networker. Among her diverse contacts, she is a natural at coming up with marketing ideas, and opportunities to promote services and products in a way that is mutually beneficial for all involved.

Leslie’s clients trust her and so her introductions carry weight. Last October 2008 one of her clients’, Sync Salon and Urban Burp, hosted my artwork during the North Beach Art Walk. It was a time of heavy traffic and I sold several pieces.

Also, based on her recommendation, in January 2009 one of my larger pieces was displayed at the SF Asia Society’s annual holiday party. The guest list was large and prestigious and I received a lot of valuable exposure that evening.

Not only is Leslie is generous with her time, answering my questions and giving me good business advice whenever I ask, she’s dynamic, experienced and consistently nice to everyone she meets.

I’m very glad to have met her and worked with her.”

“Leslie Lum has been an amazing connector and in a short time has connected us with the good hearted, super influencers of San Francisco. Through Leslie, we met the amazing kind Charm Bitanga-Narong, Regional Event Manager of Gen Art, and was ultimately able to sponsor Gen Art San Francisco’s largest and most celebrated event – The Fresh Faces of Fashion on Oct 30, 2008. Thank you Leslie for allowing us to increasingly share Haamonii Smooth ultra premium shochu with others.”

“Leslie Lum was a tremendous help during my 9 week campaign for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Man & Woman of the Year campaign 2007. She was on my steering committee for several events such as the La Fete de la Musique event on Maiden Lane and the 5 Designers and a Poodle fashion show. She helped us to promote the events in San Francisco. Her work contributed to our getting the 5 Designers and a Poodle fashion show photos published in the San Francisco Chronicle’s SF iS paper with editorial coverage and local media recognition of the newly created Innovative Fashion Council San Francisco (IFCSF) by the SF Chronicle. The IFCSF recently received great coverage in the San Francisco Chronicle’s Sunday Style Section. Leslie’s work has been invaluable and she has been and continues to be a strong supporter in my community fashion endeavors.”
